For my undergraduate capstone at UCLA, I researched and produced a podcast episode in the style of a true-crime murder mystery unpacking the impact of a recent Virulent Newcastle Disease outbreak in Southern California and California’s controversial epidemiological control methods which resulted in the mass-culling of 1.2 M birds, including backyard pets.
